Samurai Studio: Empowering slots with a japanese twist for a global audience

About Samurai Studio

Samurai Studio is a game development company that specializes in creating slot games with a Japanese twist for the global market. Its headquarters and team are located in the rapidly growing iGaming hub, Osaka.

The studio is the brainchild of NatsumeAtari, a pachinko and video game developer with a long track record of producing hit content for the Japanese domestic market. With an extensive portfolio of over 20 land-based titles, including the Pacman and Marilyn Monroe series, this boutique studio is currently focused on its next challenge, breaking into the iGaming market.

Japanese-Twisted Slots for the Global Audience

As one of the few Japanese slot developers producing games for international operators, Samurai Studio aimed to increase the accessibility of their slots to a wider audience. They wanted to attract and entertain users from various parts of the world by offering their slot games in multiple languages. They were looking for a reliable localization partner that could provide accurate translations and be an expert in the iGaming industry.

Our partner, Swintt, recommended All-in Global’s services, and upon further research, we were impressed by the wide range of language translations and cost-effective plans. This convinced us to choose All-in Global as our language service provider. When it comes to the iGaming industry, there are specific terminologies that are only used in this market. We searched for a company that thoroughly understands these terms. Of course, we also considered other essential factors such as speed and quality, and All-in Global has met those requirements with flying colours. Larissa Harada - Social Media Marketer at Samurai Studio

The Process of Localization

All-in Global successfully translated and localized Samurai Studio’s content from English into 16 languages, including Portuguese (both European and Brazilian), Spanish, Norwegian, French, Russian, and Turkish. This extensive range of languages allowed Samurai Studio to engage players worldwide.

Most translation requests were accomplished by All-in Global within one to two weeks, ensuring a swift turnaround and enabling Samurai Studio to meet their production schedules.

So far, around 40,000 words have been translated into 16 languages, with the involvement of 22 professionals in this project.

As a slot provider, Samurai Studio had a glossary that included specific game terms they wanted to keep in English, such as “scatter” and feature names. All-in Global implemented a technical solution that prevented translators from modifying these terms, allowing accurate transposition into the translated text, eliminating the possibility of human error, and ensuring client satisfaction.
